| Wuling is obtained from a precious medicinal fungus. It is a new discovered TCM which is extracted and isolated by modern biological technology. 【Actions】
Wuling is good for improving central nervous system. Studies show that it has a tranquilizing effect on the central nervous system. It contributes to the brain is intake of glutamic acid (Glu) and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and reinforces the activity of glutamate decarboxylase(GAD), thus increasing the synthetic amount of the inhibitory neurotransmitter of γ-aminobutyric acid in the cerebral cortex .
【Laboratory Tests on Toxicity】
Tests show that Wuling is a safe and nontoxic product. Acute toxicity test: Young mice fed with Wuling 15g/kg at a time, rate fed with 21g/kg. Results show no death or any adverse reaction.
Chronic toxicity test: Rats were given Wuling Powder orally for 4 months at dose of 2.58g/kg, 1.94g/kg, 1.29g/kg respectively, which are 60 times, 45 times, 30 times of the dose used in human. Dogs were given Wuling extract orally for 6 months at a dose of 3g/kg , 1.5g/kg, 0.75g/kg respectively, which are 70 times, 35 times, 17.5 times of the dose used in human. Results show no adverse reaction.
Test results on mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, teratogenicity are all negative.
